We follow the Amarillo ISD school calendar.  There are no lessons during Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, and Spring Break.  In addition, there will typically be at least two public performance opportunities: a combination of recitals and opportunities to play at senior living facilities.  Finally, my students have the opportunity to perform during the spring semester at the Greater Southwest Music Festival held here in Amarillo.  The dates of this contest change each year, but it usually occurs during the last week of April or first week of May.  I will pass this information along to the student as soon as it is made available.
